Welcome to my quasi-professional webpage. I am an engineer at GeneGenieDx involved in the design and development of a biomarker discovery platform based on analyses of multiomics data.

My current broad interest is in data science with a predilection for its applications in precision medicine and data engineering for scalable compute/storage infrastructure. In the recent past, I've been interested in developing algorithms for next-generation sequencing applications, with a focus on liquid biopsy for cancer screening. Prior to joining GeneGenieDx, I've held research and development positions at GRAIL, Illumina and Nabsys. 

Before switching my interest to life sciences and biotechnology, I have worked on methods and tools to improve safety and security of cyber-physical systems. My research then concerned development and application of formal methods (logic and semantics based analyses) toward rigorous model-driven engineering of cyber-physical systems. While working in this domain, I've held research and development positions at MathWorks, Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, Fraunhofer IESE, General Motors Research, IMEC and IIT Delhi, and I obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium.
